i think this is a wish list, and the 2500k is more for gaming and the 2600k is for photo/video i believe.

Basically if you want the increased speed and hyper threading with a bigger cache for the 2600K basically the 2600K trumps the 2500K in everything but it is 50% more expensive! lol

i wouldnt say it trumps it. its only advantage is hyperthreading which in gaming doesnt really make a difference because only a very small amount of games even support it let alone take full advantage of it. the .1ghz difference is not really relevant because you can overclock both the 2500k and the 2600k to the same speed. i agree however that there is a fairly relevant advantage that hyperthreading brings to the table when it comes to rendering videos and photos.
