The History of uni-ball
In 1887 a man named Niroku Masaki started a small company making pencils in Tokyo. Almost 100 years later in 1979 the first uni-ball rollerball pen was created.
Its quality and writing performance made it an instant hit in Japan and America. Fast-forward another 15 years to 1994 and the Eye rollerball that uni-ball is now known for was created. Since then it's popularity has continued to grow, making it one of the UK's most popular rollerball pens.
Niroku's original 10 man "Masaki Pencil Manufacturing Company" was rebranded "Uni Mitsubishi Pencil Company" in 1952; today it employs over 3500 people and it's uni-ball pens are sold in more than 100 countries around the world.
Top Customer Reviews
It is a very good pen for drawing diagrams as well, and for shading, as you get a nice even spread of ink. I am a mathematics student, and I use these pens very comfortably to draw diagrams with. I even use these with a large compass to draw diagrams, and the ink comes out nice and clean on the page.
The tip might be too fine for the taste of a few, but uni-ball do offer a medium nib pen as well. Holding closer to the writing tip of the pen will give you less control of the writing because the pen is very light. It could have been a bit heavier to allow for more controlled writing. My one minor niggle with these pens is that they feel very airy when you write with them. But I suppose some might prefer a light pen. Just putting this one in for people who like writing with pens that have a bit of weight to them. Holding the pen slightly higher will improve control of the writing, so it's not that big a problem.
After quite a decent amount of use, I can say with full confidence that the design is very robust as well. I am a bit clumsy and drop the pen or hit the nib on my desk by accident sometimes. The pen took no damage to the writing nib or other parts in any way, and the pen continued to write just as new.
It is a very high quality product, and the price is excellent too. If you are looking for a budget quality disposable roller ball pen, look no further.
Expect a clear, smooth, effortless draw with these. There's only so much you can say about a pen, but as someone who's hunted high and low for the ideal pen, at a price point where I'm not too upset with loosing one or two, these are fantastic.
The ink flows really well and is great for writing and illustrating.
With the ink flowing well it leaves your hand to relax more. One of the best I've used and will continue to use.
They also come in different tip thickness and they great too.

Excellent quality ink and as smooth as a moth's nose to quote Dylan Thomas.Published 1 month ago by rmac
These are great pens which write very smoothly. Could not recommend them enough. However a pack of 3-4 costs just over £8 in high street shops, which is quite expensive. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Gul D.
