Great watch .If you are a watch person you will love this .It's not to big . And it as a great night-time illumination that doesn't fade .A real quality watch. The only downside is you have to send it to a service centre to have the battery changed at a cost of about £ 35. But according to the website that includes a full service and inspection .The one I sent for was advertised with a smart box but when it came it was in a black cheap looking plastic box. But I would still recommend this watch.

1.0 out of 5 stars Mineral face? Think twice 19 Oct. 2012
By mkasz01 - Published on
This is a cut and paste from my review of Traser MIL-G Type 6 P6600.41F.13.01. This is the same watch with a resin instead of nylon band, so my complaints about band are N/A but the problems with the face are very relevant.

I have about ten watches in my rotation: ghsock, technomarine, seiko, victorinox and I have three Traser watches. I have this one, the T4004 and the T4006. After about two years of experience with the Traser brand, I'm a bit skeptical and I don't think I will buy another one. In addition to the problems with this watch I had to return my T4004 in less than a year for warranty repair because the chrono went out; fortunately, I didn't get the T4004 on Amazon and the repair was fully-covered under warranty, but that's a separate issue...

I bought this watch in early 2011 and for the last year I thought it was great. The watch looks good, it has bright tritium markers which are great at night, it also has simple features which I like. The strap was terrible and like many reviewers I found that it absorbs sweat and therefore stains/stinks after some use. So I bought a replacement strap from countycomm. While replacing the strap I dropped the watch about 10-12 inches onto my laminate kitchen countertop. On impact the mineral glass face exploded on the inside of the watch and mineral shards went onto the face, destroying the movement (I'll try to upload a pic). Granted this was probably a chance event (a "headshot" if you will) but for a product that is advertised as "mil-spec" I expect much more durability. Think twice about about settling for the mineral face of this watch especially if you have an active lifestyle or you plan on using it as an actual military watch in the deployed setting. I myself didn't think too much about the mineral vs sapphire face when buying because I liked the other features but after this fiasco I think I will stick with sapphire. I will also inspect watches more closely and from now on only buy watches where the face doesn't extend past the frame/dial like this one does.

What a shame... I have gshocks that cost a fraction of the price of this and have survived years of intentional and unintentional abuse (the GW5600J is my favorite)... deployments, sports, yardwork, camping. I am very disappointed in this watch and unfortunately since I bought this watch on Amazon, it will probably cost quite a bit to fix.

18Oct12 update:
I sent the watch to the Traser service center. Because this was an impact, according to them it is outside of warranty. They were willing to honor warranty from amazon if it wasn't an impact. The damage: $140 for complete cleaning and overhaul of the movement (mineral shards jammed and damaged it). $80 for a custom cut sapphire replacement crystal face. That's $220 repair for a 297 watch... and for damage that probably should be covered under warranty. Definitely think twice about buying the mineral face. I don't think I will fix it.
