Apart from the "poster and tacky badge" element of this (and the DVD of videos) is this markedly better than Galore as a hits package?

Not really, just a few extra tracks that add very little. If you have Galore and want more, then pick one of the expanded album releases. One of them has a live set from 1995 that I was at, and remember fondly. Don't know how it'll sound on disc though.

I should add that I've got the single disc edition with no dvd. (I bootlegged a library copy of Galore many years ago and felt it was time to pay for this music). Personally I think galore has a better cover picture - it captures her mischievous sexiness perfectly. The new disc also has bugger all liner notes. The disc with the live album is Titanic Days btw.
