Product Description

Review

This lavish book and accompanying documents epitomise everything that we've come to expect from similar instalments by André Deutsch, as it offers a less academic but ultimately more enjoyable experience, telling the history of the Jews. --Your Family Tree

This seems to be 'The' definitive guide to Judaism which is excellently presented. Just the thing for Jews and non Jews alike to be able to understand the history of Judaism.

David does a brilliant job of telling the long, rich, complicated history of the Jews and Judaism.

It may be history but I had trouble putting it down. He cuts through the complexities and social baggage to cut right to the heart of a people who have deeply enriched and influenced civilisation.

A must read for those both within and without the faith.
