This album is a must for all Whitesnake/Coverdale fans...this is Coverdale stripped bare, the vocals will melt your cd player.Vandenburgs acoustic work is excellent throughout. Coverdale has one of (if not the) finest voice/vocal range in music. Dim the lights grab a drink and a partner, and just enjoy this album. For anybody unsure this album is worth the money purely for the strongest version of Soldier of Fortune recorded..The acoustic workings of familiar rockers is refreshing ..the ballads even more soulful ..go and buy this album and enjoy

A tender journey through Whitesnake's catalogue of hits from the 80's. It is a fine addition to your collection regardless of generation or taste. The songs breathe new life with Mr Coverdale's smooth husky vocals and Adrian Vandenberg's tasteful acoustic approach.A great way to remember one of the most successful big hair rock bands of the 80's. Buy it now - you will not regret it.

The first time you listen to this you will like it. The second time you listen you will love it. Some of the acustic work is a match for the old snake ( M.Moody/B.Marsden ) a must have album for seriuos Whitesnake followers. By the way David is like a fine Wiskey he has matured well with age. This has got to be one of the greatest and atmospheric unplugged releases ever. The voice of David Coverdale is awesome and the acoustic playing of Adrian Vandenberg is note perfect. This is an undiscovered gem and I'm looking forward to spending many an evening chilling out with a few bourbons and Whitesnake Starkers in Tokyo....Superb!

This disc will not be to everyones taste, spoiled by dozens of 'unplugged' recordings by everyone from KISS to Springstein, with several acoustic guitars, acoustic bass etc, this is actually unplugged in its purest form, one guitar, which may tax even the biggest fan.

The gig sounds quite unrehearsed, spur of the moment and is all the better for it,ten tracks ,4 from the then current album 'Restless Heart' on which Coverdale puts his voice on the line and thankfully he carries it off, several big hitters are here including 'Is This Love' & 'Love Aint No Stranger' but undoubtably the highlight is a superb version of Purple classic 'Soldier Of Fortune'

I love Coverdate's voice and really enjoyed the rawness of this album. I find some of the deep purple and whitesnake songs to be spoilt because they overpower Coverdale's voice which in my opinion is where the quality lies

I love this. Coverdale at his best. Yes he does the whisper to a scream thing better than anyone apart from maybe Planty but he is at his absolute best in the lower register. Cov was always better than Gillan both as a songwriter and a singer.

This cd demonstrates this better than any other recording. The song selection is pretty good with a spine tingling Soldier of Fortune my highlight. I would love to have heard a stripped back Mistreated, or Blindman. But that's just being churlish. This is a thing of beauty make no mistake.

This cd is a real surprise as it is a great heavy rock band playing an unplugged set of songs which will blow you away by the sheer quality of the vocals and the guitarist.

The sound is crisp and sexy and David Coverdales delivery is outstanding. His voice just grabs you gently and leaves you wanting to mhear more and more.I would say it is one of the bands best records even without the full electric treatment.
