An excellent computerised GOTO Mount with a very easy alignment process. I used to use this mount with 130mm reflector and it handled it with ease. I only sold it on because I had moved to a 200mm reflector which was just too big for the mount. This mount will handle reflectors up to 130mm mark (maybe a light 150 at a push), Maksutovs up to 130mm and Refractors up to about 100mm. It's also light and portable for easy transport.

I bought this mount after reading many reviews and I can say I am not disappointed with it.
I got my telescope 3 years ago and I used to look up at the night sky and had very little idea of what I was looking at, and only found Saturn by luck, I accidently kicked my tripod one night while stargazing & pointed the telescope back at what I thought was the star I had previously looked at only to be looking at Saturn (wow!!).

I thought if I bought a computerised mount my troubles would be over, I was wrong, it is not as simple as turning it on as I had niaively thought.
To use this mount a degree of knowledge is still required to set it up in the first place, GPS co-ordinates, the location of 2 stars etc but once you can recognise the 2 alignment stars it is very easy to setup. A high degree of accuracy is necessary when aligning the telescope as a few millimetres out will mean you can miss the target objects you wanted to see by a very long distance.

A tip to help alignment is when aligning stars use your most powerful eyepiece out of focus (so stars appear as rings) to get it exactly dead centre in the eyepiece, and you are then off and running,

I can't wait for clear skies now, as i can actually point my scope in the right direction and know what I am looking at.

I bought this to replace an older but broken tripod/mount. Very reliable bit of kit. Easily assembled, then up and running very quickly after set up. Superb value for money.
