At last I have found a quality micro fleece with full length zip without a hood and at a reasonable price. The English climate requires a lightweight fleece that can be worn over a t shirt or as an in between layer. The full length zip means easy venting when required.

I have 2 of these fleeces which are both lightweight and surprisingly warm. They have ample outer (zipped) pockets and also 2 inner mesh pockets. They are interactive so will zip into a Berghaus waterproof shell which is great in the winter. They also wash extremely well at low temperatures and do not seem to go out of shape. I mainly use mainly as a top when I go to the gym and dare I say it they look a lot more stylish paired with running bottoms than wearing a pukka tracksuit.

Really warm for its weight. Have ended up wearing it all the time as it is just so comfortable and warm. Also the fabric is quite stretchy so not restrictive at all. Much better quality than The Northface in my view as Berghaus is more about the quality.
