This is the best sugar free custard I've found on the market. My husband and son love custard but having chosen to go the 'sugar free' route last year, we thought the easy to make form of custard was off the list. Was pleased when I can across this brand in a local health food store but horrified at the price (double the price of Amazon). It's even cheaper when you use the save and subscribe option. We get through a lot of custard so this is a great way keeping the cost down and making sure we never run out. My husband who is a bit of a custard aficionado has no complaints about it. He finds it just as good as a certain leading brand, in fact better because it isn't too sweet. I usually sweeten it with Xylitol or Stevia and have also used maple syrup - all work really well. I used 2 heaped tablespoons of custard powder and either 1 tablespoon of either the Xylitol, Stevia or maple syrup to a about a pint of milk (I just guess the right amount to use and it usually turns out the right thickness). If I make a dessert that is quite sweet I don't add any sugar - there have been no complaints about the lack of sweetness so it must taste okay! I, nor any of my family or friends have experienced any nasty aftertastes. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you're looking for a sugar free alternative.

Even though my children were born abroad and the food in this country is world-renowned there are 4 or 5 typically British things that they really love ... one of these being custard. I found this on Amazon ...the 12 separate packets are handy and can easily be divided into 4 parts . They were delighted to find it in their Christmas stockings.

The best custard powder I have ever tasted. If you want a thicker custard you need to double the amount of powder you use but it is delicious. We make it up with soy milk and then add a touch of maple syrup. Would highly recommend.

This is a real fad to mix up on the hob with boiling milk etc and I was looking for a sugar-free alternative to normal custard but the instructions tell you to add sugar when mixing up!

Arrived promptly as described, but it doesn't taste exactly like custard. It's got a weird after taste to it too.
