I'm a big fan of New Balance running shoes as they suit my style to a "t". I'm not your typical off the toe runner so can't really do flats but these are a pair I'm just using for racing - I compete in triathlon. I'm a heel striker and these, as with my other New Balance runners, have been comfortable from the off, even used in sockless training. I would recommend these to anyone but probably more suited to those heel strikers like me. Great shoes for the money.

Only gone for two four-mile runs but I'm pretty happy with these. They are extremely light which is a big improvement on my previous Nike & Asics trainers. Where the Asics stood out was that they were extremely well padded - deep and wide, although they were not a wide fit officially. When they were first purchased you felt almost obliged to run and jump they were so springy.

These are not like that at all. While they aren't poorly-padded, they aren't as soft as other running shoes that I've ever tried on. When i took them out of the box i must say i thought they were pretty cheap looking and feeling but once I got them on my feet, I could see there was no point comparing them to my previous clod-hoppers. I would say these runners would be perfect for someone who isn't in need of a lot of impact reduction [say someone not carrying any excess weight say - not like me :( ]. Despite that, I still found these NB trainers excellent to run in once I got my rhythm up and hopefully I'll be back to my optimal size and weight after a few weeks with these skinny, slim bad boys.

They were a little disconcerting at first because I was so used to having pillows on my feet, but once i got used to the feel of the street, I could see the clear benefit of a lighter, narrower fitting pair of trainers. Even though I haven't run since well before Christmas, I knocked almost a minute off my usual four mile run which I was delighted with. I got these for about £30 which was a bargain. Well worth more than that.

These trainers are very comfortable and are of good quality. They air your feet and are light to wear. They also come in half sizes. The only downside to the trainers are that they do come up quite small so I would suggest buying the next half size or full size up. I had to return the first pair I ordered as they were quite snug, compared to other trainers I have.

They arrived really quickly and are good value. They are a bit narrow but that's probably me and I hope they will be better once they are broken in.
