There are various editions of Henry VIII's letters, some more modern than this edition. St Clare Byrne, however, is meticulous about sources and references, and includes good notes on where the originals are, whether the letters were originally in other languages (primarily French or Latin), and a discussion on dating. There are also illustrations of the letters, together with signatures and other signs and motifs, and the texts are placed, broadly, within a historical context.

If you're working on these in any kind of academic context, you will need to supplement the texts themselves with bibliographical references, so this is a helpful edition.
