"Literally a book about nature." - by Niall McCracken
Good - certainly better than the competition but I think it tries to be "all things to all men" and misses out a lot. TBH i already know thie difference between a mole and a hedgehog.... But having said that a stoat / weasel was sitting 10 feet away from me in a hedgerow last week and, using this book (which I had with me) I still didnt know which one it was. I had to check it on wikipedia when I got back, which is kind of annoying because I bought this book so I wouldn't have to "keep checking wikipedia when I got back". Turns out it was either a mole or a hedgehog.

"Great" - by Fireball 61 (Moray, Scotland)
An excellent book, in the past these photos would have been discarded but now thankfully someone has seen the humour in them. And still beautifully photographed and makes you smile.

"Wonderful imagery in this book" - by Riccardo Varone
Wonderful imagery in this book, it makes me wish I could take pictures like this myself. This book is for sure one of my favorites in my entire collection, and is something that I am going to hold on to for years. It's heavy, and the pages feel like quality paper, the quality of the printed image is stunning too.

"photo workshop" - by Terence (UK)
There are many books on this subject but I rate this one highly. Ok some of the stuff is for the tyro but there are still gems of info
for the more advanced. Particularly liked the shooting detail accompanying each plate. For me a pick-up and browse through book
in quiet moments.

"Top Pocket Guide" - by David I. Howells (UK)
I bought this book to help me in my work as a mountain leader and canoe guide. I needed something that was informative and portable enough to take out with me on the hills or down a river. Though not quite as 'pocket able' or portable as I would like it is still packable. I would have liked it in more of an A5 type guide book size as I find this size easier to pack and use. These minor gripes apart it is a great book. It is very informative and well laid out, it is also full of quality diagrams of the most common species of British wildlife. There are around a 1,000 species of animal, plant and fungi found in the book and I found that the book was great as a field guide to identify species giving you just about enough information to be going on ... full review

"a must for a new or young twitter!" - by Jo S
we have a field behind our house so get plenty of different birds, this guide along with the binoculars live on the bedroom windowsill where we are able watch and identify most birds that we see. A must for any new or young bird watcher.

"Excellent wildlife photography guide." - by Simon of Buckland (Surrey, England)
This book gave me a clear idea about how to approach the subject, without going into too much technical jargon. Well written and sensibly sectioned, so one can 'dip in and out' as one wishes. Recommend it.

"Love it." - by miss m c wood
Bought this for my 8 year old son, but the whole family have enjoyed it. This is certainly a feel good book and brilliant value too.

"RSPB Handbook" - by CT (Europe)
Great book for the person who wishes to learn just a little more about wildlife in their garden. Very clear. I don't like it much whenBird Sections start off with sea birds as these are not the birds most people see on a daily basis.

"We are huge fans of British nature and we love to explore it" - by HappyMum
We are huge fans of British nature and we love to explore it! My daughters love animals so they were very excited when they saw this gorgeous book! They counted how many animals they could recognise themselves but also were amazed how many they've never heard about. They are determined to find them during our trips to woods or mountains. As we live near a lovely wild forest they've got a plan to take the book with them and see if they find some species from the book.
The book is well published with beautiful illustrations.
If you love nature then you should be the owner of this amazing book!

"It is a great book full of wacky ideas that made me giggle" - by Whispering Stories Book Blog (MANCHESTER, Lancashire)
Cal King is a wanna-be-author, well, I suppose seeing as I’m reviewing this book then that ambition has been achieved, but I would hazard a guess this isn’t how he envisaged his first book to be. You see Cal is a man with a very vivid, and what I would call strange or bizarre, imagination.

Over the years he has come up with lots of ideas for books, including: ‘Nun Taken’ – A crime fighting Nun that is kidnapped, ‘This Towel Ain’t Big Enough for the Both of us’ – A story of swimming twins who, now they are older decide that they should stop sharing the same towel, ‘The 100m Sloth’ – A sloth who wants to win the 100m race at the 2020 World Championships. I could go on.

The French Exchange Whale, is a collection of all the ideas that he sent to the publishers that were rejected (I ... full review

Great for taking when babysitting to keep everyone entertained. Stickers good for younger children and dot to dots etc good for older ones. They all love colouring it in though.
