"For a neat trim" - by Happy Harry (UK)
A very good quality tool although somewhat pricy. Much better made than my previous strimmer and with a decent long lasting battery. It does what it says on the box easily.

"Excellent well made product" - by Beaminsterbabe (GUILDFORD, Surrey United Kingdom)
How I ever managed with a Corded machine I will never know. This is sturdy, efficient, reasonable weight - fine for a Lady. Battery charges so fast and lasts for a long time. Easy "button" light to tell you how much charge you have left. Delighted!

"Good value, works well. Lightweight and cordless" - by Anthony Davey
Used fir first time today to tidy up a scruffy hedge. Pros - cordless so no worries about cables and sockets. Long blade - cuts a better line along side and tops. Lightweight so easier to handle for lengthy periods. Half the price of similar models. Cons - can't judge yet but lightweight may mean less robust in time. Last one lasted 20 years and cost more then than thus one now, but eventually plastic handle split. Will this last a long time? Motor not as powerful so doesn't cut as quickly it thickly as previous one. Overall excellent prout for the money and cuts hedges easily. Glad I bought it.

"excellent service, well pleased with the strimmer" - by Cowal Cat (Scotland)
excellent service, well pleased with the strimmer .It is very light but seems sturdy enough. Does the job fine. Love the fact that it is neither electric (long cable) nor petrol (messy)

"Quality strimmer, powerful and the line rarely breaks." - by mrcambridge (UK)
Bought this to replace a useless Flymo which line broke every minute or so. I can't remember the last time the line broke when using this, and I've used it to clear patches of dense weeds around a very unkempt section of garden we kept "wild". It feels like it's built to last, has regular use in our garden and is powerful enough to keep up. The weight balance does give some arm ache when using for prolonged periods (we have a large garden) but that is obviously due to the powerful motor. Would definitely recommend.

"Lightweight and easy" - by wolfgranny
Arrived quickly, easy to assemble. Works fine so far, but not as powerful as I thought, but that's clearly a trade off for the light weight, which helps me, as I am now among the ranks of the elderly. So great for grass and soft weeds, but it's no brushcutter. Still, I have a scythe for that so I'm sorted. It does the job I bought it for and was well-priced, so I'm happy with my purchase.

"Does the job well, battery lasts long enough." - by Stuart Sullivan
So convenient not being bound by cords.

It may not be the most powerful of strimmers, but it does the job well. The convenience of being battery operated more than makes up for the reduction of power.

The battery was more than long enough for the length of time that I needed.

Would recommend this

"Powerful, but heavy strimmer" - by Peter (UK)
A surprisingly powerful strummer and easy to use. I bought it after my petrol one packed up and although this hasn't quite the power of that, at least it starts! Others have said how heavy it is and I agree. My arm ached after I first used it, but having purchased a cheap generic shoulder strap, not Bosch, I find it much better. I was disappointed it came with only a medium amp hour battery, which doesn't last long. I have a liege garden and this is a problem, but as it uses the same system as our Bosch lawnmower, found it ok with the 4 amp hour battery from that.

"Cordless is getting better & the auto feed ACTUALLY WORKS." - by Gary C (Aberdeen)
I was given this tool to review and this is impartial.

I was given the choice to test the 18V & the 36V versions. I took the 36V as the battery can interchange with my other Xceed 36V power tools.
The tools feels light and is very usable. The auto feed ACTUALLY WORKS. I was taken back with this as I have used other grass trimmers with this feature and its normally not worked, but this one does.

Now I cannot tell you how long the battery works for as I only used it for 20 mins and it was still going. The build quality feels okay. All parts work as they should. I was however concerned that the tilt mechanism that lets the trimmer go lower would break when I used it. I put it fully vertically and horizontally but it never broke. I hope the next version has some sort of ... full review

"Ryobi strimmer is well made" - by stephen m. (london)
I find this strimmer well made and strong. As I already own Ryobi tools I have a battery and charger so getting a well made tool makes sense for me.

"Excellent little machine but isn't is ridiculous that I had ..." - by Twitcher (Derbyshire, England)
Excellent little machine but isn't is ridiculous that I had to buy a new strimmer for £46, complete with battery and charger in all original packaging, when all I really wanted was a new battery for my last machine which I'd probably ruined myself after a good five years of use by storing discharged? Cost of a new battery from Flymo or anyone else? £60. £14 more than a new complete machine. Huh.

"Just the job" - by JC
This is my second flymo 24v cordless strimmer and is just perfect. The first one failed after years of excellent use but I now have a spare battery and spool. The flymo is Very powerful and lasts and lasts. My only niggle is the absence of the white mark on the casing to aid accurate edge strimming, so I will be adding that myself. Highly recommend as no Hassell with electric leads or heavy petrol motors.

"Great for a smaller garden" - by Mrs A Allingham (Hertfordshire)
This is great for a smaller garden (we have a massive one) but I was told that before I purchased it, I tend to do my garden in bits anyway so I don't mind. The battery life is probably about 20 minutes strimming, then it's quite a long charge to replenish the battery. It could be better, but it could also be a lot worse. If you have a small garden and you are on a budget, this is the strimmer for you.

"nice bit of kit" - by Cldwell (Ramsbottom)
I find this an amazing bit of kit. It's light and powerful enough for tidying up the lawn surrounds with much fuss. I find it does about 30 mins fairly continuously on full charge from a 3ah battery. The push to feed seems to work fairly well, overall I'm more than happy to lose a little power for the freedom of it being cordless
