Very good read for beginners. Simple language and easy to read. The comprehension and questions make this a good book.

"a good collection" - by Dr. B. E. Kelly (Kent)
I enjoyed this collection, which is especially helpful as an introduction to some of the 'big names' in modern Spanish American fiction (Fuentes, Allende, Marquez).
The endnotes are sparse but useful, while the introduction provides a helpful background or orientation to themes.
Very useful for intermediate to advanced students, and more interesting (to me, anyway) than 'issues' dominated textbooks.

"Interesting" - by Buddy Ben (United Kingdom, East Midlands)
I rented this book from a library before reading it, and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of stories in the book - there's a good selection to read from, including old literature which is interesting to read.
Whilst the direct translation can be confusing, and the print quite small (especially as I have troubles reading small print), it's a good read for any student going from AS to A2, and even onto uni to do Spanish/Hispanic.

Just be aware the book is a 1997 publication and so can look a tad outdated, but it's good to help see words in context.

"Spanish The fun Way!!" - by Tabitha
I was having a hard time learning spanish and thought would get some help. Someone had mentioned this book to me and thought i would check it out. I purchased this book and it really helped. This book made spanish so much more fun and exciting that I learned a whole lot more than I already knew and I am ready to start speaking basic spanish. I like the fact that i could take it with me and that I was small enough to fit in my purse. I can't wait to try out my spanish. I am definatly going to pass the word along about this spanish book.

"Great" - by Treacle
I am already able to speak spanish but am not fluent or always grammatically correct so I bought this to improve and to possibly take an exam in the future. It is very clear and helpful.

"A good introduction which aims to make learning Spanish fun." - by Anthony R
I bought this book to give me a brief introduction to Spanish to add to the enjoyment of Spanish holiday. It comes compete with a CD giving the pronunciation to words and phrases used in the lessons. Learning is reinforced with pictures and there is a basic introduction to grammar. This course aims to make learning Spanish fun. An excellent guide for the absolute beginner.

"BRILLIANT! PLEASE WRITE SOME MORE!!" - by Maz
I loved this little book - cleverly written in Spanish for the beginner and a REAL change from the 'I HAVE A HOUSE' type of beginners books out there. There are a couple more in the series that I have down loaded and they are just as good.
KEEP THEM COMING, I say.

"Very useful book" - by M. Davies (Cornwall UK)
I'm very impressed with this book. You would think that one dual language book would be very much like any other. Wrong! This is by far the best Spanish reader that I have in my library- the stories are interesting, informative and funny and, most importantly, have been selected to provide just the right level of challenge to someone with a slightly better than basic level of Spanish.

If you can conjugate verbs, present, preterite and future (and if you can form the gerund)then you will find this book just right to help you get used to the style and structure of this beautiful, yet formal, language.

It also, through the 41 stories, proverbs and poems gives an insight that I found interesting and rewarding, into the Spanish character. The story "Padre, Hijo o Caballo?" is very funny and it is worth buying the book just for this ... full review

"Worth getting" - by milaro
Great for vocabulary and good to use alongside the work book. Contains some good grammar points and well thought out and simple phrase/ sentence constructions that are handy for ks3 students.

I bought these for the students at my school and they have come in very handy, alongside normal teaching textbooks, particularly for lower ability or visual learners.

"Like most people I am trying to work my way ..." - by Mrs. E. M. O'Neil
Like most people I am trying to work my way through a language. It keeps my mind active and I love the sound of spoken Spanish. This book is helping me and it is easy to use. Good value and no problems with delivery.

"GCSE Spanish at your fingertips" - by Alan (Desborough, Northants. UK)
Students seem to enjoy the variety of activities in this Workbook. Though the MFL topics have been reformulated for post 2009 GCSE syllabuses (which this new edition follows), it can still be used alongside the CGP GCSE Spanish Complete Revision & Practice which is based on pre-2009 syllabuses.
