"A surprisingly good little watch" - by Census
Let me start by saying that I wasn't looking for a running watch when I bought this - I was after an activity tracker with sleep tracking. I wanted one with a heart rate function and ideally also GPS. I also wanted a garmin as I already use another garmin watch and so wanted to keep everything on the same software (garmin connect, etc) for simplicity. I ended up buying this watch as well as the vivosmart HR plus on prime day for £120 and £110 respectively. I assumed the vivosmart would win outright, but I was wrong. I found it uncomfortable and bulky from the off. This watch on the other hand turned out to be a bit of a gem. Why?...

Firstly, it's a very comfortable watch, easy to wear as an everyday watch and low profile enough to wear even with shirts and cuffs/cufflinks (try that with the ... full review

"Good value for money. running and activity monitoring watch. Fast GPS acquisition, accurate wrist-based heart rate monitoring." - by "patp77"
Garmin Forerunner 235

I have been using this running watch every day now since I purchased it 4 weeks ago.
Previously I was using a Forerunner 110 which I had owned for the past 5 years.

What I like so far about the Forerunner 235:
• The charging clip is much easier to use than on the forerunner 110
• The wrist-based heart rate monitor works really well
• The Bluetooth link for uploading activities to Garmin Connect rather than struggling with a charging clip
• Being provided with extra information about my running performance than from the 110
• The nice design feature that allows for a hard glass screen protector to be used within the profile of the watch
• The ability to adjust the strap for the perfect fit with very fine adjustments
• The fact that the strap can be replaced by the user with minimal cost or effort

"Nice, simple GPS watch" - by Amazon Customer
Nice, simple GPS watch. The most attractive feature for me is the large, high-contrast display. I'm old enough to need reading glasses but obviously can't wear them while running, so it's useful to have big clear digits to read.

"Nice battery life" - by shef (SHEFFIELD, YORKSHIRE United Kingdom)
Works really well. Syncs with my Samsung J3 ok. Battery life really good. Used it for cycling and walking and when you put the GPS on it can tell what sport you are doing, sync up to your phone after and it shows a map of your route you went on and a break down of each section. Receives text messages from my phone ok. Counts steps and converts it to distance when not on GPS. No issues so far.

"Returned my Apple Watch for the Fitbit Versa, here's why" - by Calvin Gates (UK)
I purchased an Apple Watch because I've got an iPhone (I'll probably change soon but right now, I have an iPhone). I figured it made the most sense. I'm not reviewing the Apple Watch here but here are the facts: the Apple Watch doesn't have an online dashboard to view/analyse your results/runs/heart/sleep - Fitbit does. In fact, the Apple Watch doesn't even have a built in sleep monitoring function (yes, 3rd party apps exist, but that's besides the point), you have to charge the Apple Watch around once every day, or second day if lucky. The Fitbit versa? 3-4 days between a charge, and it has built in sleep tracking.

It's extraordinarily hard to dislike the Fitbit versa. It doesn't set out to be a smartwatch, although it does have smartwatch features e.g it'll vibrate/notify you of an incoming SMS/iMessage. But if you're like me, and go walking, running, do martial ... full review

"Great Product, I upgraded from a Garmin 610 Forerunner ..." - by Kevin Willsher (Southampton, UK)
Great Product, I upgraded from a Garmin 610 Forerunner and this product is a massive step up in terms of function, reliability and connect features. Love the automatic uploads to Strava especially! I have stepped up my training quite a bit the past year and this watch has everything you need for the more serious runner. Highly recommended.

"Excellent hardware, support and GPS" - by Mr Andy McCullough (Gibraltar)
I am delighted with this watch. It is good to see updates to the watch and the website. I have had two minor issues since I purchased the watch. On one occasion I drained the battery completely and it took a couple of charges to sort it out. My advice, charge it regularly, charging is quick, so, maybe charge at breakfast time, it'll be ready to go by the time you leave the house.

The other problem i have had was sleep tracking, but, I think that was a problem with me sleeping badly rather than a problem with the watch, the sleep tracking is based on movement or lack of it, this works well most of the time for me.

GPS works well, much better in our area than any other device I have used, it has not lost GPS once so far.

"A nice watch" - by Soare Andrei
The watch it's nice and it helps me alot at work, cuz I get all the notifications on him, easy to use and nice look , the only thing that could be better it's the wrist band it's a little dust catcher but soft and nice.

"I'd be lost without this watch & the app that ..." - by PJM
I'd be lost without this watch & the app that works alongside it. Doesn't have all the facilities of more expensive watches but main things I need it for was overall pace, average pace, distance & time. To be fair the app provides even more statistics too.

"Great all round device" - by Daniel Hughes
Very happy with this purchase. The voice coach is great and I like the heart rate monitoring function. Battery life is excellent. Battery lasts 4-5 days when just using the heart rate and step counting function. Music sounds great and the device has certainly helped me improve my running. The only slight downside is the shuttle function. It doesn't snuggle your tunes very well. Often a track which was played 7-8 tracks previously will play again. Otherwise great device and great value.
