"best book holder" - by The Eye (Middlesbrough, UK)
This is the best I've ever used; its sturdy frame holds up the heaviest books.
I really like it. Good price and good support.
It can be folded up neatly too, great for travelling.
I give it all the stars.

"So smart!" - by Xejx
I love this product. Bought 3 as for 3 seperate people for xmas including one for my kitchen. Very smart and neatly tucks away with the cook books on the shelf.
It is quite sturdy too, you don't feel like it's going to fall apart in your hands.
Only downer is although you can put a tablet in the stand comfortably, you obvioulsy cannot scroll (or use the tablet touch screen) with the plastic cover over it.

"Wooden Foldaway Easel" - by sammy
Delighted with wooden recipe book easel. Great quality at a very good price. I use it to hold my 10" tablet whilst I am in the kitchen. It is extremely well made and folds away neatly to store away and does not take up much room. Love it.

"Works well." - by Rob M (Surrey)
Ordered as a replacement for my 'traditional' wooden cookbook holder-nothing wrong with it but.I needed something to hold a book open that didn't iinvolve forcing it into the fixed opening base-a pain and not good for the dust covers or pages. This adjustable stand is great with the two adjustable holders at the bottom able to accommodate all thicknesses of cookbooks. It is nice and slim when closed flat too, handy for storing with minimal space required. I like it.

"Fantastic! Books remain clean whilst I was cooking and ..." - by Julie
Fantastic! Books remain clean whilst I was cooking and perspex allows clear reading - I have two and neither have scratched at all. Also useful for placing documents in to keep tidy or to hold them upright whilst typing replies to letters - I'd be lost without mine :o)

"Better quality than expected" - by Field Runner
I'm always using recipe books in the kitchen and have struggled with inferior stands that aren't man enough for thick tomes! This has a simple design, is well made, and looks good too. It's sturdy enough for large hard back cookery books (e.g. Readers Digest ones). I'd recommend this, it's well worth a fiver if you spend time in the kitchen with Delia and co!

"A good quality item..." - by Neil (Kensington, London, UK)
I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and one incredibly annoying habit I have is using a spoon/utensil and then, without thinking, putting it in the sink as I don't want to make a mess by leaving it on the side. I then have to wash it or get another one. We did buy a special plate when we were on holiday in Portugal but that broke very shortly after purchase. When I saw this standing spoon rest on Amazon I thought, “This could be very useful!” Was it?

It arrived quickly and was nicely packaged. On opening, the first thing I noticed was it looked really good. Apparently it is stainless steel with a chrome finish. Whatever it is made of it certainly doesn't look like a cheap item.

After a couple of days use I can report the following:

Pros

"Jamie Oliver Cook Book/Tablet Stand" - by Susan Random (London)
I'm not really a fan of Mr Oliver's work, per se, but already own one of his branded frying pans, which I rather cherish. As for me, well I like to think that the Essex-born culinary behemoth created this product from his own talented hands, but alas this is not so.

I must admit that I rather like it; the acacia wood looks stylish on my kitchen worktop and I tested it out on both my 10in Android pad and a retro Dairy Cook Book I'm really rather fond of. It held both well, although the pages of my physical book would flap about somewhat - I have seen that certain models also contain a page holder. It could also be used for storing chopping boards when they're not in use. There are also ways of using it around the house as a tablet holder as it's so stylish, it would ... full review

"... this to cupboard door now my recipe books are easy to read and not covered in ingredients" - by Tony B (Bedfordshire)
Fixed this to cupboard door now my recipe books are easy to read and not covered in ingredients!
Looks fine left permanently attached to the door from the inside, door closes sufficiently as to be unnoticeable.
