"Lite and Bright" - by Mr R Smallbone (West Sussex UK)
After the internal flash stopped working on my Canon 1000D I have been looking for an external flash that did not make the camera too heavy like conventional flash add ons. I must say I was really impressed with the weight and durability of this ring flash. It was easy to attach as the unit comes with an array of connectors to fit all lens sizes for both Canon and Niko. As the lights are attached to the lens it does not make the camera top heavy and gives the camera a very good balance in the hands. This really is a top product for the price and it is very easy to use. The mode selector allows you to choose the brightness and the direction of the light and there is also a mode so that you can have the light constantly on for areas with bad light.

"Macro Photography made Easy" - by Happy Shopper
The orders was well packed and arrived within the delivery time. The item is as described and far exceeded my expectations, I can now get down to some serious macro photography without trying to aim lamps only to look at the photos to find that the light is in the wrong place so have to start all over again. To say I am pleased with this item is an understatement and can well recommend it to anyone starting to delve into the realms of macro photography.

"Plastics are sturdy. Happy so far with the pictures taken" - by RN
It works with Canon 1300d. The flash works in sync with the camera. It is a proper flash not a ring of lights. Well made unit. Plastics are sturdy. Happy so far with the pictures taken. For the price no complains.

"Excellent budget flash option for Canon macro work" - by John Richmond
I own 4 macro lenses for the Canon EOS system and am a semi-pro plant, garden and macro wildlife photographer with hundreds of images published. My standards are, and need to be, high. However, I work on a budget, and cannot afford the Canon macro twin flash. So the Yongnuo twin flash appealed for price alone. I've now taken a few hundred shots with it and managed to produce a small percentage of saleable images. This is not a criticism of the flash. Field macro work usually produces a low percentage of high quality images whatever system is being used. It's the nature of the beast.

The twin flash heads fit to a ring that in turn fits onto an adaptor that screws into the lens filter thread. Simple, and fairly effective, although the ring turns too easily on the adaptor and the adaptors supplied didn't fit the filter size of ... full review

"Buy it as your first flash !" - by R. VERNEY
Excellent piece of kit, wish I had bought one years ago as the first flash - you can use it for any and everything, and for close up work and for example ebay listing pictures it does a brilliant job. Battery life is very good, I put in some part charged NiMH and have taken dozens and dozens of photos without needed to recharge. Extremely easy to use, and on NIkon the exposures come out perfectly with no or minimal adjustment.

"Great value" - by STAR
To be honest anyone complaining about this product for under £17 needs a reality check.

I do have a "proper" ringflash, but wanted a "light" with more output for modelling and studio, I have had one of these before. In fact you receive a "Meike" with EIGHT adaptor rings, just buy it and use it, best £17 ever

"Good bit of kit at a fair price" - by Mr Mr
Can't fault it at all, had a cheap led flash ring and it was useless then died after month of use. This is solid, well built and works perfectly and at the price good value for money.

"More than pays for itself in interesting shots." - by Mark Nash
Superb value. The display is clear and simple to use, the manual is hardly necessary but explains the options well. The ring is super bright with the clear ring and the frosted and coloured rings are a nice bonus. The 8 screw adapters are plastic, screw to your lens or filter and provide a simple clipping point for the light ring. The free standing foot for the ring is also a nice bonus.

Set it up on my Nikon D7200 in aperture mode and was taking shots 60secs after putting in the batteries. It triggers perfectly and lights macro shots very nicely (you'll want a lil zoom to avoid the ring edging into the corners of your shot). Also as a stand alone it creates an interesting ring of light reflection that works well on close ups of eyes and other surfaces... be creative and this bargain flash more than pays ... full review

"Excellent value" - by Nick Powell
I have used this on several occasions and gives excellent results, and having no experience of using the Canon version of this item, I won't be looking to buy one either as this version does everything the Canon version does, at a fraction of the price

"Bright LED Macro "Flash" for a decent price" - by AW
Fantastic set, been looking for this for a while so when I found this set I purchased for my canon dslr camera this includes 1 Macro Ring Head , 8 Adapter Rings(49mm, 52mm 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm), 4 Flash diffusers (orange, blue, oyster white, and transparent), colour box and manual. It is very easy to fit and the range of adapters make it ideal and versatile on most lenses. Really nice build quality, seems quite robust and durable so very happy with purchase. The light has several functions, a pilot, On/Off, Left side only, Right side only and Flash.
It does require 4 AA batteries though which are not included. I would prefer if it had an integrated battery you could charge by USB instead of having to carry around all those batteries.

"Great for macro lighting work" - by 1personsOpinion
Great for macro shots, I take a lot of insect photographs and obviously being that close, light can somewhat be an issue, especially with wildlife. This ring light gives a nice diffused light that illuminates the object in front of the lenses very well, it doesn't create any glare which is perfect. Great for my use and would recommend to those in a similar situation. Very easy to use, can be used on hotshoe mount or it has it's own little stand.

"Excellent flash - a real boon to Macro Photography" - by A. W. Gegg (Cornwall, UK)
Item arrived promptly and well packaged. It comes in a rather natty box inside a cardboard sleeve. The adapter rings supplied should fit most macro lenses. I need to photograph glass jewellery which has always been a real problem because of reflections; this doesn't completely eliminate the problem but greatly ameliorates it. For more conventional macro photography it gives an excellent 'flat' light - I've not yet tried the modelling functionality, adjusting the two sides to different strengths. Two things to note: it really is a macro tool and is pretty well useless if the subject is a metre away; connected to a Canon DSLR you need to set the flash to E-TTL not auto. The flash does not have an instruction manual - there is something on-line but it's not brilliant - but once I realised I needed the E-TTL mode it really ... full review

"A great product for anyone interested in macro photography on a limited budget" - by Amazon Customer
A great addition to the macro photographers kit especially someone on a limited budget. I use it to photograph insects which makes this cool light source essential. The three sets of led lights can be placed wherever needed and as a static light source is bright and corrected for colour. The flash option is rather dim though hence the four stars. Still great value for money and effective.

"Excellet product and excellent service" - by Gaz
This flash certainly punches way above it's weight. It is very well made and the features match that of the more expensive macro flashes. The service from start to finish was excellent.
