"Great product for the price." - by C. Benjamin (United Kingdom)
Excellent telescope for an amateur astronomer who already knows how to use such a device but can't afford a high end device.

It's well worth its price, great product.

"Does what it should - Easy to use" - by Code Black
Bought this for star-gazing with my 7-year-old daughter as she's doing an astronomy project at school. This telescope was very easy to set up, put together in 5 minutes. Simple to use - find the object you want to view through the small Finder Scope and then focus by turning the Focus Knob. The only drawback is it's a little wobbly - so best not to knock it too much as you're using it. Apart from that, does what it says on the tin.

"Great telescope" - by Yim l chan
Very clear image. Easy to set up and start using. The focus is also easy to use - it gives you a lot of control over a very large range of distances. It's a very good telescope and has suited my needs perfectly (even has a bag for camping etc.)

"Telescope that is cheap and good." - by Li
This telescope is very good although it can see the moon clearly.

It cannot use the high zoom that well still for that price i paid 70£ incl delivery, a regular binocular costs much more.

great for kids at 8 years or any who would not pay too much for great view of the moon and som stars, includes a software that shoes what position the stars are in.

"Out of this world" - by Wayne Hurd
Hi, I wanted to share this image of the moon which was my first attempt using my Samsung S8 and the telephoto lens. Having zero photographic experience i could not believe how easy it was to set up and use...seriously first attempt best picture from approximately 5 images that i took through a bedroom window. The kit arrived 1 day after ordering (I wasn't expecting it for another 3 days) it exceeded my expectations, excellent value for money, great quality, logical to set up and use giving fantastic results. If i can use it anyone can i would highly recommend this product.

"A proper spotting scope!" - by pufferfish (UK)
I've never had a spotting scope before so I didn't know what to expect, but I've used telescopes and I've used binoculars and I have a few big SLR zoom lenses, so I know that when you get up to 60X magnification things can get blurry and aberrated (the colours separate out giving you weird purple or red edges).
Now this device is nothing special optically but it is excellent quality for the price, I'd put it on a par with a basic SLR telephoto lens of the same length, which to be honest is flattering because telephoto lenses usually cost a lot more than binoculars and are better quality. The image at full zoom is excellent but not perfect, at the shortest zoom it is very clear indeed.

Using the device isn't that tricky but as a photographer I do find the tripod annoying, it feels more like a telescope tripod ... full review

"after spending several weeks comparing what scopes were best and trying to figure out what would be a ..." - by silverfox
after spending several weeks comparing what scopes were best and trying to figure out what would be a good entry level scope.
I opted for the celestron 130 EQ.
And after only about 6 weeks she has proven herself worth every penny i paid.
I'm 51 and mu neighbour is 46, but the moon, Venus and Jupiter complete with four of it's moons was enough to leave dribbling and giggling like a pair of 8 year olds.
The quality of the scope is good, and the included eyepieces are good also.
i will purchase some more eyepieces and the camera adapter, but as a complete novice whose only experience of star watching was "I enjoyed star trek" i found it easy to lear to use, easy to assemble, and well worth every penny.
in fact i love it.

"Celestron x-cel lx 18mm - 1.25" eyepiece" - by bonnie_man
Thie Celestron x-cel lx 18mm - 1.25" eyepiece is really well made and has provided a significant improvement in the quality of viewing. For example the banding on Jupiter is easily seen with this eyepiece and my celestron nexstar 102 gt scope. It is worth the money!

"HQ Long Barlow" - by Amazon Customer
I received this item and was impressed with its construction but not with the postal packaging from Amazon. However the Barlow lens itself was safely held inside a plastic container. After installing it in my Celestron telescope I found that I could not achieve the correct focus. This may have been due to its extra length as it was a Long Barlow lens. Althougth its quality was excellent I had to return it back to Amazon(in better safer packaging) because of this focus problem.
