"Brilliant coffee maker - can't live without it" - by Steve Greenway
I have now had this coffee maker for over six months. This has allowed me sufficient time to properly review it.

It is a fantastic item to have in the kitchen, especially for coffee lovers.

Once out the box, it is easy to follow the instructions to set it up for the first time. Everything is clearly labelled, and once I had set it up then fresh coffee was about 3 minutes away!
Two main things to remember if you do not wish to have a full pot of coffee:
1. Do not fill the water tank up to the top level - however much water you put into the reservoir, then it uses it all.
2. Change the number of cups on the front for the amount of coffee to be ground.

You can select Strong/Medium/Mild via a push button on the front, but on my machine it all seems to be pretty much the ... full review

"Stylish machine that makes coffee as good as it looks." - by Mark Sheldon (England)
This is probably the best filter coffee machine we've ever had. It has everything we ask for. There's a removable water tank, which makes filling it a breeze. The filter cone swings out with a satisfying quality action, and will take a reusable filter if you want. It's pretty powerful, so even a full jug of coffee will be ready in five minutes, and it is absolutely piping hot. It'll keep the coffee warm for up to an hour, which is less than our previous machine but when it's that fast to make fresh, who cares. It's way better than anything we've had which uses a flask as the jug. There's also a timer so you can wake up to freshly made coffee.

In my opinion, the pictures don't do this justice. It looks a lot better on the counter top, and even our somewhat jaded teenaged children remarked on how ... full review

"The smell of fresh-ground coffee is awesome" - by Yorkshireman
The coffee is delicious and far better when made using beans rather than ground coffee. It's easy to use and looks good too. The aroma is far stronger than from our previous filter coffee maker and the brew is hot and stays hot in the jug. Highly recommended for coffee lovers.

"Don't worry about the nit picky reviews!" - by Amazon Customer
Exactly what we wanted and great value. I read many many reviews about all different coffee makers of this style between this price and about £150. The pros and cons were all really similar but this one won due to price and someone saying it was quiet.

I'm so glad we bought this one, there was a couple of things in other people's reviews on my cons list but none of them have bothered me at all upon getting the machine!

It is quiet and only grinds for a few seconds. We've had it about 4 days and have used it easily 20 times! It's so simple to operate and to clean. You can set a timer so you wake up to coffee as well.

The people saying they don't like the taste etc etc... I think it's really down to you to see how you like it, you can make it stronger ... full review

"its fine. The delayed timer works well" - by CFMAIN
Keeps Coffee Warm for Hours. Takes awhile to get to know how many beans to put in for preferred strength - as at first the coffee was quite weak. Once you get the hang of it, its fine. The delayed timer works well, providing coffee as soon as you get out of bed. Would buy again.

"Good Machine" - by Tuppence
Have been without a coffee machine for ages. Really pleased I bought this. Impulse purchase when I accidently came across it. It's great that it uses coffee beans and powder. Very convenient to use.

I had been very pleased with this machine. Then it stopped grinding coffee after a couple of months. Cleaned grinding chamber (not particularly easy) as per troubleshooting in manual. Still the same, repeated a few times. It still worked using powder. Sent an email to the manufacturer (who was not the same as the seller) and got no response. So returned it. No problem whatsoever with return. Would have liked to order it again but not confident to do so after mfg could not be bothered giving me any info. Got a cupboard full of coffee bean packets now!

"Awesome. Husband very happy with it" - by Wicked Kea
Awesome. Husband very happy with it. Makes a superb espresso and machine looks good with a small kitchen space footprint.

Thanks to the teachers who left previous review about having tested this to destruction in their staff room. No better recommendation!

"Perfect coffee maker" - by Victor Pessoa Da Silva
I love this coffee machine.

Been using it now for over 6 months, and I absolutely love this machine. The coffee is always perfect, and since I got this machine, I find almost impossible to drink any other home mad coffee, weather is Instant, or pot coffee, none of them can come close to a freshly made coffee from this machine.

Overall 10/10

"Great machine, great price and really nice coffee. No Capsules to recycle ...." - by Mr. A. J. Stewart (Bradford-on-Avon)
Great machine, great price and really nice coffee.

I'm really happy with this and have sold my Nespresso machine which cost an arm and a leg to run. In fact my Nespresso machine with frother almost sold second hand on ebay almost paid for this entire machine. A total bargain.

Frother works really well. Only niggle is that sometimes the coffee grind sensor comes on when the coffee grind bin is empty. I'm guessing it's probably a temperamental sensor or coffee getting on the sensor. A bit of fiddling clears it. I must vacuum the interior of this machine every couple of days which should probably help.

Don't wait, save the planet, dump your Nespresso machine and get a bean to cup! No recycling issues.

"a great bean to cup filter coffee machine" - by DavidC_Surrey (Dorking, UK)
This a great filter coffee machine. Will use either whole beans or ground coffee to make 2 to 12 cups or 1 - 6 mugs. To use beans, fill the hopper and press the start button after you have selected quantity and strength. To use ground coffee, put the correct amount directly into the filter, press the button with 3 blobs on it and then press the start button. The hot plate stays on for 30 minutes after brewing, or you can switch it off early by dabbing the start button again while it is on. I find it to be a nice looking machine. Another reviewer calls it ugly but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I wouldn't have bought it if I thought it was ugly, but it takes all sorts! If I am going to nit-pick, and I will, although the bean hopper has ... full review

"it still works perfectly and make great coffee...BUT" - by M_L (back streets of Soho)
can't believe this is 4 years old... it still works perfectly and make great coffee... the creme is just as thick as day one... HOWEVER I HAVE A MAJOR GRIPE... and this is nothing to do with the quality of the machine or the coffee it makes but more to do with one of the biggest scams these companies do on a regular basis and that's the "cleaning" aspect... or should I say the red flashing button that kicks in after literally a month or so... of course the machine comes with one of those custom plastic De'Longhi sachets and whilst a bit complex the machine cleaning went okay. Hmmm, I thought, I made a point of only using bottled water [admittedly the 17p 2L ones you get from the supermarkets] as I knew the tap water was pretty chalky.

So guess what I did... yep, I just ignored the flashing ... full review

"no frills filter coffee machine that makes good coffee and keeps it warm for a set time ..." - by MM CK
A straightforward, no frills filter coffee machine that makes good coffee and keeps it warm for a set time (a believe about 40 min?). Nice that it shuts off automatically as I do tend to forget to turn it off. Nice that you can change the strength -- I keep it somewhere in the middle as strongest was a bit too strong for me.
