"Huge frustration before even going for a ride! Now UPDATED to a higher rating after first ride." - by SZ (New York)
FIRST POSTING 1 STAR: So excited to have taken out of the box and about to go for my first ride but then spent half a day (before giving up) with loading courses and syncing the unit with Garmin Connect. I'm using the latest version of Garmin Express and the latest software for the Edge 1000 but courses from Garmin Connect will still not load to the device. I receive an error message. I also tried sending via the Garmin Connect app on my iPhone but the error message still appears. Such a let down!

UPDATED POSTING: Despite the technical issues continuing with not being able to download courses from Garmin Connect (either wirelessly or via USB wire), the Edge was fantastic on my first ride. I did have to play with it before the ride in order to modify some personal settings (when the screen turns ... full review

"Does the job but a tad pricey for what it is" - by MJFH
For what it is its a bit expensive but having dropped my Garmin I wanted a bit of protection for it and this does the job ok. The fit is good and you get several screen protectors, plus a pointless lanyard.

"Awesome! Garmin slayer!" - by Ian Crocker
Simply outstanding bit of kit!!!

I’ve come from many years in the saddle and have been blown away by the tech offered by Garmin. I have been using a trusty Garmin 705 Edge until now with no major issues other than the reliability of the sensors and the awful Garmin lock in echo system.

While the tour was on this year I was prompted to look for a replacement computer with all the latest and greatest tech. I looked at the Garmin 1000 Edge which had had a hefty price increase on Amazon (naughty) during the tour. An increase of some £100 and it didn’t come with sensors either! It would set you back some £500+ pounds with all the sensors at that time. With this in mind I looked elsewhere for alternatives and stubbled upon the Wahoo.

I knew of them from years before with the apps for the iPhone and the ... full review

"Great product! Great company! Great purchase!" - by STEPHEN R ADAMS
I bought this to put on my son's electric dirt bike so I would know how fast he was going. Wow! This is turning out to be one of my better purchases because of all the functions this COMPUTER does. I'm a tech geek so the setup wasn't a challenge to me, but I urge anyone that purchases a Raniaco Bike Computer to take their time learning it and setting it up because it is capable of a lot. The fact that it's wireless let's me switch to different vehicles when I need to as well. Great product! Great company! Great purchase! My so n's electric bike goes almost 33 mph with him riding it and will go almost 30 mph with me riding it. It keeps records of minimum, maximum and average speed. Those metrics alone made this purchase a success for me and it does so much more.

"Garmin Edge 820 Explore versus Mio Cyclo 505" - by PhysicsRules
I have owned this for only a few days, so this is likely to be an incomplete account of its full capabilities and functions, however what I can do is compare it to the Mio Cyclo 505 which is the unit I had previously. For readers of this, be aware that this is a review of the Edge 820 Explore and not the Edge 820. The Edge 820 is more expensive and has a greater number of training features such as FTP analysis etc. Nonetheless, the Explore has everything that a recreational cyclist like myself (commuting, weekend road cycling, occasional sportive) might need. The only feature that the Edge has over the Edge Explore, that I would have quite liked to have seen, is Strava Live, where you can measure your realtime progress against previous PBs or against the KOM. As for how the Edge Explore shapes up against the ... full review

"Great GPS bike computer" - by Nick
This is my first bicycle GPS and it has definitely improved the way I train on the bike. the GPS complies to perfection with his work, connecting quickly and accurately with the necessary satellites, works perfectly in the bike.

The instructions are simple and the app is easy to install and connect to Strava. Setup is straightforward, and the screen is legible even in direct sun.So is easy to read while riding.

First impressions and initial test this bike computer is great and accurate. it pairs quickly and can download to your favorite apps (Strava for me) without any issue. The battery is long-lasting .

So far after a few days of use I can say this is hands down a great product.Very intuitive and works well. I like it and use it on every bike ride. Can definitely recommend this one.

"Cutting edge" - by B. Zabavnik (down town shepherds bush beneath the BBC)
I bought this item from a bike shop - freeborn bikes, a nice knowledgeable crowd. The point I want to make is that the item comes in a box already loaded with the items listed under bought together at a very competitive price. I have lately noticed that pricing structures for certain items bought on Amazon uk especially for cycling are not in the real world and these items are from non uk suppliers who are not from the Far East. Rant over. The gps itself comes with a remote control to turn the pages over. It also connects to your smart phone to give emergency messages should you take a tumble. It charges by USB cable like your phone/ I-pad/lights. It takes a memory card. I bought it because it is supposed to act like a car gps which I, like ... full review
