"Canon Lens capable of good pictures but hold it steady without IS pictures may suffer." - by pob
Good reasonably cheap 75-300mm I have found not having the Image Stabilisation has resulted in some unusable pictures, I need to learn to keep more stead when using it, but then this was £100 cheaper than one with IS. If you can afford the extra go for one with IS.

So, when I got this lens I did so specifically to use it at the 20-24mm range, not the 17mm side of things (as zoom lenses often perform at their best when in the middle of their range). I did some ... full review
