"Avoid the Tomliboos disc" - by MO104
My son loves these, good price. Just avoid the Tomliboos disc when you can as it's just a lot of clanging noise (they "play" music) the other 2 discs are enjoyable though.

"Nice addition to the collection" - by Clementine (UK)
This DVD did not disappoint my daughter although she already has quite a few Horrid Henry DVDs. I thought she might get weary of them but not so yet.
So worth buying for Horrid Henry's young fans!

"Swedish but with Bernard Cribbins narrating!" - by Debra from Hull (England)
This is a charming little cartoon from Sweden made in 1974.
The story is about Christopher (or Karl Bertil in Sweden), the son of wealthy parents who goes to work for the post office in the Christmas holidays. He decides to give the gifts for wealthy people (including his father) to people less fortunate.
At 23 minutes long, this will get children thinking about others without being too preachy. The cartoon plays on Swedish television every Christmas Eve - just like we get The Snowman!
BTW, it's narrated by Bernard Cribbins. Highly recommended!

"Must have for toddlers!" - by K. Johnston
Absolutely fantastic DVDs!! Within a couple of days of watching them my 2.5yr old knew the sounds of the whole alphabet. Episodes aren't too long and DVDs build off each other so worth watching each one a few times before going on to the next.

"Wonderful" - by Milliemay
I send 'Grandpa In My Pocket' dvds to my granddaughter in New Zealand - she loves them - so two ordered for her birthday which happens to be at Christmas. She loved the programme when she visits the UK. Brilliant - I even watch them myself on TV from time to time which cannot be said for other children's programmes.

"To me this one of the greatest things I have seen we humans have done as ..." - by mr c kerr
To me this one of the greatest things I have seen we humans have done as a challenge. The dvd takes you behind the scenes on the ups and the near abandonment of the idea a man can leap from space. A great watch and a great achievement. Dvd a good buy.

"As good as I remembered" - by hedgehog99 (UK)
I was a bit worried that my 2yr old would not love this like I did when I was little...wrong! He was enchanted, especially the episode where Paddington has a bath, he was chuckling away. Don't get me wrong, some of the modern kids TV shows are ok, but they are often loud, noisy and sickeningly moralistic. Paddington is just a little bear who loves marmalade and has a knack for getting into scrapes. Fabulous collection of episodes from the very first one where the Brown's find Paddington at the station. Nice gentle kids TV that I can sit and watch with him. Lovely!

"It may be childhood again but these are remarkably good." - by P Ronney
Typical of the short children's programmes of the late 60's and 70's. AKA: The Magic Roundabout, The Wombles, Ivor The Engine, Bagpuss, The Clangers et al. They are written in a gentle charming manner, often at two levels; one for the children and one for the adults. No high velocity image flicking, no characters shouting all the time and not much dumbing down of the language used either. No ratings chasing here. They assume that children can relax and enjoy interesting stories and that not all children suffer from Attention Deficit Syndrome. Most modern children's programming could learn a thing or two from these amongst others.

Thank you for reissuing guys.

(Although redone digitally the image quality is still of its time, a little shaky).

"2 DVDs 15 episodes on each" - by Mr Potato Head (Nottinghamshire UK)
It isn't clear from the information but you get two DVDs with 15 episodes on each: Volume 1 and Volume 2. The episodes are really well thought out and build mathematical knowledge and concepts through the series. Excellent for early years settings. I have tried looking online to see episodes but they disappear so you really need the DVDs to make sure you can get the right episodes. Teaching resources for mastery maths are on NCETM website who consulted on the series. HIghly recommended.

"Great for under 7s - especially emerging readers too!" - by Yorkshire Muse (South Yorkshire)
My older grandchildren can now read Horrid Henry independently so this DVD complements this new skill while the two younger ones just love the DVD for itself.
Only problem may be it'll wear out pretty quickly!
