L. Haylett says:
Absolutely not, it is under age kids playing Mature 18 Certificated Games that is harming the Industry when it comes to delivering adult games for adult gamers. Instead the Government and Media clamp down on them and we all suffer. Also any parent that allows their under age child to play 18 rated games is breaking the law and frankly being irresponsible in the least.

it's not atuly, its illegal to sell the game to under age kids, however it not illegal to play it!

Well if your parents say so...
Or alternatively hide it in a blank dvd case.

A man says:
If your parents do not mind you playing such a violent game, 'Weve been focusing on the more violent aspects of GTA4' Sam Houser, president of Rockstar Games, then by all means play it, but would they approve?

Mr. S. Jones says:
Definatley not. Not even with parents approval (would any caring parent let a 12 year old play an 18 rated game?). The BBFC rate games and films as 18 for a reason, the subject matter is not suitable for a 12 year old. Would you sit down with a 12 year old and watch 18 rated porn? Didn't think so.

my cousin played gta san andreas when he was 11, and allthough he enjoyed it greatly, playing it under supervision, I could spot that it was affecting him is ways that an adult would not be affected. Games like this are engrosing and to a young mind who does not know better are harmfull. Kids should wait and enjoy the real world, we all know thats nasty enough without help form Rock Star. Cant wait to play it myself though.

No, you should learn to spell "allowed" first.

No offence, but if you were my daughter you wouldn't be getting anywhere near it.

W. Blackmore says:
No, you should definitely not be allowed to play this game.
It is for adults. You are not an adult.

Regardless of your state of mind buying this game when your not old enough is like throwing fuel on a fire which people such as Jack Thompson love to pour fuel on. Respect the age rating and wait until your old enough.

Until then you've got plenty of legendary games you can play within your age rating.

M. Bestwick says:
It depends because i have been playing GTA since i was 8 and to be honest i have never been affected by this, meaning i dont go smashing windows or use language to the extent of san andreas does, i dont drink heavily or break into cars, however unless the child is mentally not right and the parents are drug addicts then maybe not.

In regards too W. Blackmore reply, it is an adults game correct but who defines the right age violent games should not be played at because as said i have played GTA and nearly ever violent game known out in the gaming business and it never has affected me.

ive only just turned 18 and playing any of the GTA games hasn't effected my thus far

however i think you should ask your parents and if you take it upon your self to get it and hide it then thats your choice however playing the game isn't illegal but buying it is. depends on which country you're in cause thats the law for England but not sure for other countries.

Wait until you're 18 before you play. They make it an 18 for a reason.
