Highly recommended, brilliant value for money. Smart looking and slimline as described. Perfect fit for my mini Ipad, (older version), seems very secure both as a protective case and for use as adjustable stand. Can't fault it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Design Interferes with Using Mini Ipad 23 Dec. 2012
By Gadget Man - Published on Amazon.com
Colour Name: Green Verified Purchase
After reading the glowing reviews I got this RooCase Ultra-Slim case. First it is really not what I would call "slim." The case I have for my Ipad 2 is slimmer. But the biggest drawback is that this case makes it hard to web browse on Safari. If you try to go to upper right hand corner of the screen to tap the Arrow to go back to the previous web page, you can't reach it. The Case interferes with it. This is true of all four corners. Not sure why I'm not seeing others mention this in their reviews. This one is going back. I'm still looking for a good Ipad Mini case.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice case, but too bulky 16 Mar. 2013
By Barbara Burgess - Published on Amazon.com
Colour Name: Red Verified Purchase
I purchased this in purple. I like the way it fit my iPad mini. It is nice and snug and well protected. I like the stylus holder in back, although my stylus is a little small for it, but it is functional. What I don't like is that it is somewhat bulky. One of the things I like about the iPad mini is the thinness of it. This makes it too thick and seems to defeat the purpose of having the thin mini. I also have a problem with using the two adjustments to prop it up. I can get it to work when I want to watch something on it, but I can't get it to stay when I want to use it to type. The magnet closure works fine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bad fit and no wake feature 3 Nov. 2012
By LoBridge - Published on Amazon.com
Colour Name: Black Verified Purchase
The build quality on this case is ok, but the leather around the bezel makes it difficult to use the screen elements around the border. Also, the case does not turn the device on and off when opened or closed. I will be looking for another cover and try to return this one.

Update: I was contacted about my problems and offered a replacement when the auto on feature is corrected. I was impressed with their response and look forward to trying the replacement. I will update when appropriate.

I received my replacement case today and it seems to fit tighter and the wake/sleep feature works. I was very impressed with the response of the company and would recommend the case in its current form.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good enough as a temporary case 26 Nov. 2013
By Tom Thumb - Published on Amazon.com
Colour Name: Red Verified Purchase
I needed a cheap case to protect my new retina iPad Mini while I wait for the case I really want to come on the market. I settled on this case due to its price.

The overall fit is good and the level of protection appears to be adequate to good. The color (red in my case) is not as vibrant as I expected but that's not a problem for me. This case does not have a cutout for the rear microphone that is new to the retina iPad Mini. The velcro that holds the iPad inside the sleeve is thick and causes a large lump at the back of the case. When using Safari in portrait mode, I find it very annoying that this case makes it very difficult for me to touch the first tab close button.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cover not flat, no cover strap 4 Nov. 2013
By Lantana Al - Published on Amazon.com
Colour Name: Black Verified Purchase
While this is a cheap case, I can't stand that the cover is not flat. One of the corners of the cover bends (curves) out away from my iPad mini. I've tried to straighten it out, but it won't stay straighten.

Can only give this unit 2 stars. I suspect the cheapness of the case affects the quality control.

Otherwise, if it didn't have this issue, then I'd probably give it a 4 star rating for the price.

Another issue is that there is no elastic strip to hold the cover closed like on other covers of this type of design. I miss that. I'm also not happy with the way the case surrounds the screen. It's like it pulls away (upwards) from the screen and it gets in the way of some finger swipes that involve the edges of the screen.

But if you've spent the money on an iPad, you might as well pay more and get a better case with more quality control, but if you get one of these without any defects, then you may like it more than I liked mine.
