This is just a great TV, fantastic picture quality, easy to set up and preconfigured for streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime. Not much 4K content right now, but happily the upscaling from HD (and even SD) is really impressive. Colours are rich but natural looking, blacks have great depth and there is some really nice depth rendition. I found it very easy to connect to my surround sound system, and everything works just fine. Less good was delivery (over 3 weeks) and customer service from the third party supplier, so I have deducted one star for this. However, now that I have the TV, all is good. Be aware the TV comes with a stand but no wall mount, so you will need to buy a third party mounting bracket for wall mounting (but takes a standard wall mounting kit and easy to install).
Bought this for the office - using it with Apple TV to cast from MacBooks. Picture quality out of this world, not added any speakers or soundbar - sounds great. Gallery app is startling. Oh, in case I forget - it's a tv too!
This is a superb TV. I got it from a nearby shop (not online) on 29th July 2018 and it cost £800 more than it does now (29th November 2018). The online deals were actually no cheaper. I did get £500 back with a deal, after 3 months from LG, so guess it was £300 more, rather than £800, but such deals are probably still around, perhaps for a few hundred £ off. So if you can't quite afford it now, you def will in 6 months. Picture is great... but, and I don't know how they do it, it is nowhere near as impressive as it was on display in the shop.... Even when I am watching 4k hdr, and regardless of which picture mode I select. The picture is superb nonetheless, but don't be fooled into thinking it will be as good as the picture you will see on the display models.. it isn't that incredible. They set those display models to display mode, which makes the picture much better still, but you can't do that at home. The TV software is great as is the remote, and inbuilt Netflix is super, as are other apps. The TV updates its software regularly too which is reassuring. The sound is good for a TV, but if you can afford a TV like this, then buy a good soundbar, or surround sound system.... I got a soundbar.... and the TVs sound/audio compared to the sound bars is poor. But that is for all tvs... any top TV needs a good soundbar, or even better, a good surround sound system. These can be very expensive too, for high end ones. If you want your audio to be equal to your picture quality, then this is the only way to go. My only slight worry is the lack of warranty for screen burnout. I hope this isn't a problem in the future. The only good thing in terms of protection against this, is that if you pause the programme or movie etc the TV goes into automatic screen saver mode (a black screen) promptly to avoid this. I'd definitely recommend this TV, especially now that it is costing approx £2500 as I type this. It will be under £2000 soon.
