Decent design but product went defective after 10 months
26 February 2016
Really liked the design and features had decent (but not exceptional) printing quality so would've given it four stars, except that it developed a fault with its wireless connection after about ten months, which in-turn led to another another fault with its start-up routine (I'd switch it on, it would boot up, look for a wireless signal, not find one, and then ask to be switched off and on again). Just one of those things, I guess. First thing I did was contact Epson support and they were terrible: first could only call them 9-5 Monday-Friday, so it took two months to find out that they were unable to sort out the problem and the machine was defective and needed repair/replacement, and Epson claimed I was out of warranty. So I immediately contacted Amazon and they almost straight away arranged a no-quibble collection for a full refund. So well done Amazon for your really excellent service. I re-read some of the product reviews on this device and it turns out that there is a similar (but not the same), earlier model to this that still holds the Which? Best Buy Multi-Function Printer status.
