it's always best to future proof and have more watts than you ...

Ok,..I've now had this Corsair AX860 PSU (Standard) - not the digital, for a year now. I've had zero problems with it. I have a power hungry Radeon R9-390 GPU attached to this PSU along with three SSDs and some other peripherals and still the AX860 is overkill for my needs but hey,..it's always best to future proof and have more watts than you currently need right?
I don't even have the PSU fan running. It's on the passive mode so will only come on when it gets hot but mine barely gets warm. I cannot see if the fan has ever come on during gaming because I can't see my PSU in the hidden part of my case. However, I looked at the PSU the other day when doing my monthly PC dust cleaning and crikey!!,..the PSU still looks brand new, not an ounce of dust in there, my case dust filters are obviously also helping in this respect but even so, it looks like the fan has never needed to come on.
I don't need to explain anything else about this PSU because there are many comments on here that have done that already. I just wanted to let you guys know that I made a good choice, it still works well after a year as a gamer with a power hungry GPU. Would I buy another one?,..you bet.
