Top critical review
Decided to keep Canon 6d Mark 1.
13 December 2017
I bought it on Cyber Monday when price went down £300. I didn't do a lot of research before buying it. Just heard that new 6D came out. Unpacked the camera from the box and first shock: articulated screen. Dial beside it is smaller than in 6D mk1 and is made of rough plastic. I didn't like the quality of plastic and wanted to send it back straight away but gave it a chance.
Went through configuration and noticed that some functions were dumbed down comparing to mark 1, for example you can't configure wireless settings manually. You can name the camera, but wireless network name will still be assigned by camera, something like "Chosenname_-xxx-Canon0A". You can't choose password, it will be assigned by camera too so you have to retype it. Of course you can use NFC to configure connection to camera automatically, but you need to have NFC in your device first. Bluetooth is only used for remote shooting, you can't use it for copying pictures. The same with NFC, it's only for configuration of wireless, not for copying pictures.
Didn't do any real shooting, as didn't want to leave any marks on a camera. After 2 weeks of reading reviews I decided to return the camera and keep 6D mark 1. I do a lot of landscapes in low ISO and night shots in high ISO. If you do Astro photo, there's a good review highlighting all camera issues, you will find it easily online.
The above is just my personal view, so may have totally different opinion
