I love the first film, although I could do without Aubrey’s vomiting. The second film was average, this one is poor.
There aren’t enough songs and they’ve gone for a lot of modern songs that I didn’t recognise which lessens the enjoyment.
I’m in the minority but I don’t find Fat Amy funny and with each film she gets a bigger role which is a turn-off, and she can’t actually sing. I love John Lithgow but his accent is terrible and the whole sub-plot involving him is dire.
The set-pieces were silly - on the boat, in the hotel suite, in the casino. I enjoyed the opening song (although the CGI was distractingly terrible), the riff-off between bands and the final song. That was pretty much it.
I will watch the first film several times, once will be enough for the second and third.
