The best 1080p/144Hz/24" monitor on the market
9 August 2017
Incredible monitor, a massive step up from my Liyama Prolite. Out of the box it needs some adjusting but once you get it perfect the picture is fantastic. I used the built in Windows calibration tool mixed with PhotoFriday.com to get everything set it nicely and it worked really well. A quick tip would be to set Response Time to Advanced, if you set it to Ultra Fast you will get noticeable ghosting, especially when scrolling pages of text. Low Input Lag should be set to Ultra Fast, both of these are found in the Advanced Image Adjust menu.
If this is the your first 144Hz monitor make sure to set it up correctly in Windows, one of the biggest mistakes I see is people leaving their computer set to 60Hz so they gain no benefit from this monitor at all. I'll paste instructions on how to do this below. Speaking of 144Hz it's just amazing, you will notice the difference at anything above 60fps, but the real sweet spot is 100fps+, that's when you'll really feel the extra smoothness.
On Windows 10, head to Settings > System > Display > Advanced Display Settings > Display Adapter Properties. Click the “Monitor” tab, choose your monitor’s advertised refresh rate from the “Screen Refresh Rate” list, and click “OK”.
On Windows 7 or 8, right-click the desktop and select “Screen Resolution”. Select your monitor if you have multiple monitor and then click the “Advanced Settings” link. Click the “Monitor” tab and choose the refresh rate from the “Screen Refresh Rate” box.
