Unreliable and terrible service from Samsung

We bought this TV from Richer Sounds, and are very glad that we did, because of their excellent guarantee and service. The picture on the TV is incredibly good, with vibrant colour and crisp images. To me, the sound is also good. We don’t use a sound bar.
But after about 9 months, a line appeared a few inches from the top of the screen, all the way across the screen. Then we noticed that the picture above the line was a slightly different colour to below. Then a problem developed at the bottom of the screen. A band of the picture was a more yellow colour. This band varied between 3 to 12 inches, and the band moved constantly, getting talller or shorter.
I called Samsung and they asked for a digital photo of a test screen. The problems were not visible on this picture (a beach scene) but were visible on another picture that I sent. Because they could not see a problem on the photo, they denied there was a problem. I sent more photos where the problem was very clear. That was a couple of weeks ago, and Samsung have not been back in touch.
The Samsung service has been terrible. They have broken promised about getting back in touch and done everything to refuse fixing the problem. Luckily, I was also covered by Richer Sounds warranty. But this shouldn’t be necessary. I have heard since of others having the same trouble with Samsung. Personally, I will never buy Samsung again.
Despite this, I like the TV. But if I did not have the Richer Sounds guarantee, I’d be stuck with a faulty TV with a terrible picture after less than a year.
