Best in-class Image quality & contrast, great backlight strobing. Letdown by a lackluster FreeSync range and unnecessary curve.

-Outstanding contrast levels and colour accuracy create vibrant life-like colours and deep blacks - best in class here, and well above competing TN panels. Contrast is especially strong, often measuring at ~3000:1 vs ~1000:1 on TN panels.
-Good response times, but not the best - often beaten by comparable TN panels (particularly in grey shade transitions).
-Well implemented strobing back light feature - leads to a noticeable reduction of motion blur in fast moving gameplay
-Stylish and functional stand - allows for pivoting, adjustment of height and even for tilting to a portrait orientation
-The Curve. Certainly more useful on larger 21:9 ultra-wide monitors, but not so much on a smaller 16:9 monitor like this one. This can lead to slightly distorted on-screen content. This also makes the monitor largely unusable for serious design work (as straight lines will appear arced)
-Disappointing FreeSync range - Only 70 – 144Hz through display port (62 – 119Hz via HDMI). Competing monitors offer a much wider FreeSync range.
Overall, this monitor creates the best looking image of any 1080p/144hz/FreeSync monitor. It's a pleasure to use for gaming, some productivity tasks and watching media. But It is let down in a few areas; none of which are deal-breakers.
If you want a great gaming monitor, but don't want the washed out colours of a TN panel, then this is a must buy.
