Nice for a nostalgia trip, but quality is variable.

The show was always of varying quality in both stories and special effects. At times they are excellently written and have decent effects, at other times it's cheesy and stupid. But I bought this for a nostalgia trip and it delivered nicely.
Image quality jumps about quite a lot. At times it's perfectly clear and as sharp as DVD should be. At other times (luckily few), it's like some sort of interlace error is occurring. All objects in frame, but especially the actors, have a noticeable jagged edge. No idea if this was also present on the original broadcast image though.
The DVDs are held in four folding card folios (one per season) and they are held in an overall card sleeve. The folios aren't the best in the world. Twice I've scattered several discs out of them by turning it around wrong and accidentally having it upside down. However for the price, this isn't too bad a storage solution and it does mean it takes up very little shelf space overall.
There's also nothing in the way of series guide, so all you get is the name of the episode on the folio to tell you what's on each disc. Seems a shame as many other TV shows of the same age have something along these lines.
