Being my warcry, as I, an early 30's man throw my mid 20's girlfriend from the top of a Jawa sandcrawler on Tattoine.
We've been playing co-op throughout the game, doing all side missions, mynock hunting, attempting to run each other over in speeders and other typical 'working together' stuff, and have just gotten to Endor. Having completed "Twilight of the Republic" on hard difficulty (with all side missions) in under 4 hours, we're trying to stretch this out a bit. I game pretty much constantly, she only on fun games, like this.
One difference is that experience is shared between the two of you, as opposed to Twilight, where only one of you would get those precious orange sparks. You can literally be on the other side of the map in this, and you'll level up at the same rate. I think we found all of the champion coins much faster than in Twilight as well, so it lets you play as who you want a lot sooner as well.
The story is heavily skimmed over and made child friendly, though the characters have some nice touches, like Luke saying "I'll get it done" on mission acceptance, much like Anakin did. He also has possibly the best special attack yet, making him immune to all damage when you pump enough points in it, allowing force-fuelled rampaging. As others have commented, he does have a blaster as his ranged weapon so no zooming around the map like dear old dad.
The starship sequences are vastly improved in this as well, easier to see what's going on, and with prompts at the start of each 'section' so you know if you're shooting TIE fighers down, evading fire, evading obstacles, or everything at once. You also get rated from 'Bad' to 'Awesome' for each section of these sequences, which then gives you an overall score at the end. We're not the best at these so I couldn't tell if you get a bonus to having all 3 sections as Awesome or not.
Iconic moments so far include the Death Star trenches, fighting AT-ATs on Hoth and battling atop the Sarlacc pit, to complaints of "you have the better character!" and cries of "this isn't fair". I can't see Endor affecting my overall view too much, and chances are we'll restart the playset on extreme difficulty anyway, so I definitely recommend it.
This is a must have. Why is any Star Wars fan bothering to read the reviews? You get the Skywalker twins Luke and Leia and the unlock levels based on the original trilogy. What is there not to love. My son was especially happy with Luke as he can shoot as well as use the lightsaber, as you climb his skill tree, Luke's Force abilities increase, it is almost like seeing the farm boy to Jedi transformation taking place before you in the game. Ok I admit I got this for the Luke figure getting the level and the Leia figure was a bonus. I this game Leia seem to has had a few Tae Kwon Do lessons. Her meelay attack is a 3 kick combo high Round, leg sweep, and a gravity defying flying kick. Of course she also has he trusty blaster as an up grade you can be enhanced to stun opponents to make them more prone to meelay attacks. She can also double jump, but I have not seen any Force enhancements on her character as of yet. oh and her special is to call Artoo, how cool is that? This is a great set and must have for any Star Wars fan, worth every penny.
The best Star Wars infinity play set of the three sets. Loads of things to do, great graphics and sound. Figures are stunning and look great in the game, I don't want to spoil it for anyone but if you are Star Wars fan you'll like it a lot.
2 good characters and a game based on the best trilogy. What's not to love. I'm making the most of my son being happy playing this with me - won't be long before 'Dad' is slowing his progress!!! Seems a good skill level for a seven year old - just challenging enough.
I'm more of a Marvel fan than Star Wars, but this has defo been better than Disney 2.0, and at lower prices (though I think this is because of more completion, eg Lego Dimensions) Value for money when compared to other Toys to Life games.
