Batteries go in, labels come out
31 July 2017
This is a well-designed, well-built and well-packaged product. It's very easy to use, although if you read the manual you could be put off by the huge number of formatting options. Luckily you can ignore these unless you need advanced special effects. The keys are well laid-out and clearly marked and with the two-key confirmation sequence it's difficult to produce a label by mistake, so you can be reasonably confident that your label is going to come out as you expected. That's just as well because the tapes aren't cheap and this machine does waste a lot of material, as many other reviewers have pointed out. You can improve matters by setting the margins to "narrow", if you can remember how to.
I mentioned the packaging because the box is well designed. It's sturdy enough that you can keep it to store the machine in, even for frequent use, and there are cut-outs for storing two spare tapes.
As for ergonomics, maybe they could streamline those menus a bit. It takes five presses to enter a hyphen, for example, which I can't help feeling could be improved.
Excellent value for money and it feels like a quality product.
