I've recently taken up Tae Kwon-Do, and after a vigorous session of sparring on hard floors, my obviously not toughened up feet blistered badly, so much so that I was walking gingerly the next day, so to prevent further injury, I invested in these, which take the edge off heavy twisting, bouncing, landing on feet, but still let my feet remain totally flexible,
This is my 2nd pair of 5 fingers, (I still have a pair of KSO's somewhere) these are more minimal, and perfect for my Tae Kwon-Do training.
As with any barefoot shoe, don't go on a long run in these until you have conditioned your feet/calf muscles by building up gradually, I recommend a rolling pin or massage roller, before and after running in these.
