As this is a new specification, it was difficult to find a suitable last minute practice book for my child's GCSE exam this summer. As she already knows and likes the layout an content of CGP books, we picked that one straight away with a matching revision book. The final exam is tomorrow. Fingers crossed for the results. The only downside is the book was not available for an evening delivery so it arrived next day
Good book and very useful for GCSE prep. These books have been going since I was a child and now my son is taking his exams and still as good as I remember although not quite as reasonable in price as they used to be.
Yet another well written Exam Practice Book from CGP. Just under A4 sized paperback, printed in black and white. This practice book is for the GCSE Edexcel Statistics Exam. As a practice book will need to be used alongside the students own class notes or text book. Split into 7 sections which cover all the topics found in this exam. The answers are at the back. For me the most useful part is the exam help tips to be found at the bottom of the pages. Very impressed.
Well laid out workbook in the typical CGP style. Answers are at the back. At the front there is a helpful “exam tips” page which is useful. The book is split into 7 sections and contains many helpful questions for revision along with “Exam Practice Tips” at the bottom of many pages.
This is an excellent GCSE statistics exam practice workbook. As well as covering the curriculum there is also a section with exam advice. The book is well laid out and there is plenty of room to write your answers. The answers section gives an explanation of why a particular answer is correct which can really help if you are still struggling to understand that particular question.
Statistics seems to be a part of maths that causes particular fear for students even though it is quite simple once you can deal with the language that they use. What is key is practice and that is why having an exam practice workbook is a useful tool in dealing with stats phobia and getting higher marks in the GCSE. This focused workbook is an invaluable tool for students to improve their skills.
These books are an absolute vitality for any student studying the topic; they help tone up your strengths and outline your weaknesses; so you know which area you really need to focus on. They help a lot with improving your skills and make it easier for your brain to process the information a little easier.
CGP produce the best revision work books and practise papers around. They contain all the exam-style questions you need to help you get through the GCSE and A level exams. The questions are laid out straightforwardly and in black and white. The answers come at the back and there is also extra explanation on how to improve your score.
GGP guides and revision books always seem to be top-drawer, and this is no exception. Our middle child is using it to help with revision towards her exams, and is finding it really useful -- lots of practice questions, with clear and easy-to-follow answers. Also recommended by her teacher, so definitely recommended.
