My Mum who isn't the most technically advanced of beings was sold this phone based on shop recommendation. Sadly I wasn't there to prevent this. It is the most un-user friendly phone I have ever had the misfortune to use. For starters the instruction manual is online- not useful if you want to change settings or want to use the phone minus internet. The settings are not all in one place, which makes it harder to change what you want, and use different buttons to get there.
This is an android smartphone from a brand I've never heard of and I have spent a lot of time trying to find various settings to change to customise it. Without the manual- not easy due to the puzzle that Alcatel have used to hide their settings. This phone is not a logical phone- and I have used a lot of phones- both normal and smartphone and this is a very poor man's smartphone.
Bluetooth: rubbish, it only remains detectable for 2 minutes and is a nightmare to transfer to. In fact I had to resort sending as picture messages.
Apps: no easy way to close them to save battery power.
Battery charge: Mum charges it every day and only puts on the celluar data network (needed for downloading picture messages) for 10 mins so she can download any pictures.
Camera: rubbish. However the one star is for the cropping facilities. Picture messages are not easily saved to gallery and it looks like editing features/ or their settings have not been included when you press the submenu button- left hand side
