This review is from: Taoist Meditation: Methods for Cultivating a Healthy Mind and Body (Paperback)
Taoist meditation is a collection of translated Taoist meditation teachings from one of six sources. Anthology on the Cultivation of Realization, Treatise on Sitting Forgetting, Saying of Taoist Master Danyang, Secret writings on the Mechanisms of Nature, Zhang Sanfeng's Taiji Alchemy Secrets, & Secret Records of Understanding the Way.
To be clear, this book does not provide an A-to-B direction meditation techniques; while it is covered in abstract forms, it is more about life, the universe and everything. There are no commentaries to the verses, it is purely translated text; therefore, unless you have read such material before, it may seem a little abstract and nonsensical.
Each self-contained verse takes up between 1 and 3 pages, which allow the book to be picked up for five minutes but thought about for hours.
Unfortunately, I can't comment on the level of translation, but if this sounds like your bag.... worth a look.
