Considering that all it has to do is carry a bulb and supply electricity to it, there is so much wrong with this lamp. * The switch is on the cord rather than the lamp head, although the lamp head is drilled for a switch. A change of design to reduce costs perhaps? But it makes the lamp that much more inconvenient to use. If the switch were in the right place, I could get all this cable off the desk and out of the way. * There is so much friction on the bulb holder that the force you have to apply just to screw the bulb in is enough to damage the bulb. And the terminal is not sprung, so you've no idea whether you've screwed it enough. * Mine switches itself off at random, so it is probably electrically unsound - which brings safety concerns. And it cannot be disassembled for simple repairs. * There is a limit to the travel of the lamp head - once the back arm is vertical, that's your lot. Other desk lamps allow the arm to go beyond 90 degrees so you've more reach. All in all, it looks like a desk lamp but it's misleading. Cheap rubbish. Recommend you find something else.
