I have studied many cases over decades but the Kate Bailey murder is quite new to me. The author of 'The Musical Milkman Murder' has known the murder setting, Barn Cottage in Little Marlow, for a lifetime. His family had owned the cottage and, latterly, his father lived there.
Quentin Falk did his research exceptionally well. He traced the murdered woman's daughter, a tiny child at the time her father murdered her mother, & took her to visit the site of her mother's unmarked grave and the cottage. He has provided answers to many of her questions about her father, George, and mother, Kate. The motive for the murder remains something of a mystery to this day.
This book is well illustrated and I thoroughly recommend it to others.
