The main bulk of the book was good, well written and compelling, I found myself hooked and intrigued as to what would happen next and would the author get away. I was disappointed with the epilogue - I felt it was cut far too short. All the detail as to the terrible times was missing in the epilogue. All of a sudden the author had children, bought her first house. It would have been nice to know how that happened, to see the happy ending after the terribleness. But that all seemed to be skipped. It would have been nice to know if any justice was got and whether the author ever thought of going to the police. Perhaps there is a second book coming but its a shame this wasn't a complete story.
