This review is from: Gone in Sixty Seconds [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
Gone in 60 seconds is non stop action all the way. This is the ultimate no brainer. As a predecessor to Fast and Furious this still holds up. Paper thin characters with no development, no twists and a set up that holds little emotional weight, this is all about the cars.
After his brother's life is threatened when he messes up a car heist, Cage's Raines must steal 50 cars in one night. He enlists the help of some old friends and gets to work.
If you sat down with a tick list you'll find it is all here. The dodgy english accents, the clueless cops, the random vehicles that appear from nowhere during a car chase, the one dimensional secondary characters. It's all here and it's all good fun. The acting is sub par and the story complete rubbish but the action is great with some of the most stunning cars around.
When the box says Jerry Bruckheimer you know what you are getting. Turn the brain off and enjoy.
