1.0 out of 5 stars Not so much secret as you need to google for it!, 17 Dec. 2010

Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Free books for Kindle: The secrets of how to get the world's greatest books for a radical price (Kindle Edition)
It seems that if I put any url in the review, then Amazon will not approve it. The book gives you very little. It tells you about the calibre project which you will need to convert from the various formats you'll get the books in, however the book really is a waste of time, if you google for free ebooks, you will get all the pages that the book tells you about within the first 20 pages. save your money!

That makes a lot of sense, I've been putting together a page of my own, detailing how to convert from LaTeX to something suitable for the kindle (http://www.s5h.net/wiki/LaTeX). On a similar note, I'd like to know why the Amazon format is so closed.

Thanks for your review, it makes a lot of sense and so I'll not be getting this and will get something interesting instead.

Ahh ya beat me to it, I was about to make a review stating similar, Google Project Guttenberg & other such search methods = the means to find countless legitimate free ebooks. No need to buy an ebook to tell you how not to buy ebooks. Otherwise this is just another variation on ye age ol' Ice2Eskimos, oil2arabs, ebooklocations2thosewithinternetalready

Please do it, the more 1* reviews, the more perhaps that people will just google for 2 minutes and save themselves the effort of getting the book.
