2.0 out of 5 stars Overrated X-Men rip off, 27 May 2008
This review is from: Heroes - Season 2 - Complete [DVD] (DVD)
Seriously, don't believe the hype. Heroes is nothing short of average American television. Personally, I've always felt this about the show, but the second season just confirmed it. The truth is, it is a poorly written x-men rip off, and you shouldn't waste your time and money on it. If you want a show with intrigue and mystery, then watch Lost which has found proper form again this year.

(Note: I'm adding one star just because of the presence of Kirsten Bell and Hayden Panettiere in the show)

Ah, you see, these kind of reviews, I feel, give Lost fans a bad name, as it were, as if we can't like anything else. Well, while Lost is my favourite show, I also love Heroes. Maybe these comments won't turn into a Heroes vs Lost 'debate'...

But I agree with you slightly Tom (can I call you Tom? :P). I didn't feel the same about series 2. It just didn't have that cult-ish, slightly nerdy, very comic-book-like feel to it that made series 1 stand out for me. All of the 'classic' quotes and moments come from series 1, and I can't remember any in series 2. I partially blame the writers strike, even if that is an old excuse. Of course, it's all your opinion, and mine, etc. You're not "pathetic" (as M.Quinn so eloquently noted) for having your own view.

Series 3 should be good though...

i agree. i absolutely hate the acting, it is terrible. or is it the writing? maybe a mix of both. its so simple and dumbed down... eugh. hiro is the most irritating character ever invented. from the very first episode of season 1, every week ive tried to watch it but just found myself thinking- where have i seen this before? it just feels like its all been done in other shows.
