Hahnel Triad 30 Lite,
This review is from: Hahnel Triad 30 Lite Professional Aluminium Alloy 4-Section Tripod with 360º Quick Release Ball Head and Free Carrying Case (Camera)
Having searched all over the internet looking for a suitable small, light but sturdy tripod I decided upon this and I'm very pleased with it. It is very well made, not flimsy, the legs are stiff to open (in a good way) but not stiff. What I do like about the legs is that you can widen them beyond their "standard" position thus allowing you to get your camera closer to the ground and also increase rigidity. The centre pole has a hook at one end so that you can hang your camera bag to weigh it down should you need to. The centre pole also comes out and can be placed upside down so again your camera can be a matter of inches of the ground. A handy bubble sprit level is part of the design which is very useful.
The only minor downside of the tripod is when it's fully extended in including the centre pole it does wobble slightly. But I guess all tripods do that anyway. Score 9/10
