Customer Review

on September 16, 2004
Having been a fan of their previous albums I couldn't wait to get my hands on their new offering.
What a disappointment!!! Don't be fooled by the reviews on Amazon, this album lacks melody and emotion. The verses don't build into the big anthemic choruses we have come to expect from Embrace. The only song that does is Gravity and that was written by Coldplay.
The title track Out of nothing shows promise and so do a couple of others but they are ultimately overshadowed by album fillers which sound like a bad blend of U2, Coldplay and Oasis.
Embrace could be a great band but they should stick to writing the songs that make them good; big piano ballads full of heartache and pain that mysteriously suit Danny McNamara's voice. Unfortunately this time they have failed to deliver.
