If you already own Adobe Photoshop Cs (version 8), then this product will upgrade you to CS2 (v9). More of a luxury item than a 'must-have'. I have experienced that CS2 runs noticeably slower than CS. There are a few new features in this version that make it worthwhile though. One of which is the 'Reduce Noise' filter. This is very handy for reducing the noise (or grain) in high-ISO digital images. Another handy addition in this version is 'Adobe Bridge' Because of the drop in processing speed when processing your images through CS2, I have CS still installed on my PC, and switch between the two program versions depending on the job at hand.
