Another Roy Grace novel not quite up to the standard of the first seven. Somehow this just didn't keep my interest and I struggled to pick it up at times. Usually Peter James' books are read in a couple of sittings. I suspect PJ is running out of scenarios that could take place in Brighton. Sad to say it was the anticipation of the Sandy saga that kept me going at times and cleverly the author left that open once again to weave into another Grace story. I will certainly buy the next in the series, (I believe PJ has said one will be forthcoming), but will be prepared for a similar disappointment. Maybe he should conclude the Grace series and develop a new character in another part of the UK.
