Having had a couple of decades using gyms in various places I knew what I wanted. First. the equipment, if it was coming to my home, had to be easy to assemble; second, given that there would be a fair bit of use it had to be strong;third, as with all technical equipment, it had to have good guarantees. The Branx treadmill had them all. It was assembled in about 45 minutes but it needed two people to do so, it would be very difficult if not impossible for one person to assemble it. It is a very strong piece of hardware with no easily-knocked-off bits of plastic; and with a life time guarantee for the frame and motor plus five years for the belt, it satisfied the third criterion.
I would recommend the machine to anyone but there is another factor in any purchase of this sort and that is the after sales service. So far that has been excellent - I had one query the day I got it and that was sorted in about ten minutes via two emails. No long phone conversations with pausesfor two choruses of 'Greensleeves'!
